Government, Entitlements, and Democrats

(From a blog I wrote on January 28, 2008)

I was watching the state of the union address tonight and curious to see what the president would be saying to the members of congress as he exited, I saw and heard a comment from a republican representative directed towards the president. He said something to the effect of "To get a rebate, you gotta put in the bait." The president turned around and laughed and pointed over his shoulder like check this guy out. I agree 100% with that line. This damn stimulus package congress is about to pass is purely a mass redistribution of wealth. It's also an election year, so it's a perfect time for any incumbent running for office to say "I helped put that check in your hands". Pretty smart politically on their part, huh?

I'm sick and tired of this shit. I disagree 100% with this stimulus package aimed to jump start the economy. All of the underachievers in this country who don't pay taxes will receive a check, depending on their family size. Your money and my money will be going to some deadbeat on welfare that lives off the government. They don't pay a penny in taxes, but will receive a check from the government, which is intended for spending on certain necessities or paying off some debt. I guarantee you that the low achievers who leech off the government will put their checks to good use. How bout a carton of cigarettes, beer, or lottery tickets? Or better yet, some drugs? The democrats are loving this because this is a way to get more money from the "evil" rich and give it to the "less fortunate", but in a way that it doesn't raise taxes at the surface. I'm going to be very insensitive, but i don't give a rats ass. I'm going to work to change things in the near future and my tax money isn't going to some deadbeat with 10 kids with no job. It's not my fault they had 10 kids they couldn't afford and it's not my fault they quit school and didn't go to college. Get over it. Go to work and support yourself and your kids.

Most of these people believe they're entitled to everything from housing to money to health insurance. You're not. Nowhere in the constitution does it say the government is required to provide housing, money, or health insurance. We're moving in a direction to where our citizens believe the government should take care of us. They believe if we make a financial mistake, the government should be there to bail us out. The government should stay out of our lives. Take some accountability for your actions. This mortgage crisis for example. I'm point blank blaming the democrats and the people who received a mortgage they couldn't afford. Going back a few years ago, democrats and the race pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were pushing the private mortgage and banking industry to give loans and mortgages to people with bad credit, which for the most part were minorities and the underachievers. You can even go back to the dreadful Carter administration when they passed the Community Reinvestment Act in 1977. Oh how wonderful, these people are going to get a new car or a new house and give that crucial vote to their democratic representative. And look what happens when the adjustable rate mortgage jumps and you have to start paying back principal and interest. Oops. You didn't have a lawyer to read the closing documents and you are in big trouble because you can't afford your big house now. It's time to blame someone now. Who can we blame? Who's going to take responsibility for this mess?

Blame yourself and blame the democrats. Don't blame the banks or the mortgage companies. They were forced in the beginning to accommodate your needs or they were going to be faced with boycotts and discrimination suits. Now you're shit out of luck and now you want the government to bail you out. Tough shit. The government doesn't owe you anything. Our founding fathers didn't intend for the government to be a nanny government to take care of us. Unfortunately, government schools are teaching kids that government is the answer to every problem in our lives.

Government is not the answer. Government should never be the answer. How would you feel is government HAD to be the answer? How would it feel with no freedoms to make your own mistakes and learn from them? How would it feel not to achieve anything in your life because you wouldn't have to because government would give you enough just to get by? How would it feel to go to the doctor that the government assigned to you along with everyone in your town or county and you had to take a number? Wouldn't it feel great to see the government use its police power to take that over achiever's money from down the street? He worked hard his whole life for that wealth, but he's greedy and evil because he has more money than you. He's one of the last millionaires holding out from paying massive taxes on the rich. You could never achieve that wealth because the government says you don't need that much money to function in a single class society. The government takes over all privately run businesses and turn them into state run businesses. Everything is being done for the "common good".

How does that America sound? That is the America in the eyes of the democrats. It's socialism. They won't admit it, but that's exactly what it is. They use words like "national" and "universal". Of course, their uneducated democratic constituents don't know the difference, but it sounds great to them. And yes, they're largely uneducated. It's a fact that a large part of Hillary Clinton supporters are the uneducated. In their eyes, it's "what can the government do for me?" Is that what Americans should be asking? Is that what the founding fathers were asking King George before they declared independence from England? I don't think so.
